  1. Kia Ora Koshik,

Good work completing another Summer Learning Journey activity. You've written quite a lengthly acrostic poem for us! You have done quite well at matching the downward letters with the first word in each sentence, only missing the first word for 'L - Flickering the light bulb off and on.'

I see you have taken the advice of adding a sentence or two explaining the activity question. Nice work! Remember to double check your work by reading it over before clicking the publish button. It is important to make your sentences as clear as possible, so the next person who comes to read your work understands what you've written. Another way you could have written this last sentence would be, 'This post writes about the different kinds of lights, written as an acrostic poem. This post is for SLJ, I hope you enjoy.' Comma's (,) are a great way to break up your sentence and fullstops (.) will help you to divide your sentences.

What are your thoughts about the Southern Lights, also known as the 'Aurora Australis'? This activity asked you to write about the Southern Lights within your acrostic poem. I understand how this question could have been a bit confusing to understand. So you're still receiving the full points for all your hard work. As I can see you have put a lot of effort into your poem about 'Lights'. However, I'd like to hear from you some cool aspects of the Southern Lights that you enjoy. That way I will be able to see you've engaged with the activity question. Your blog page background actually reminds me of the Southern Lights. The glowing colours of red, green and blue are very similar to the light show that is seen within the sky! What do you think?

Wow, what a lengthy response I have given you. But there are some good tips in there that will help you with your literacy skills. Keep up the great blogging Koshik, I look forward to reading more of your entries.

    Thanks,

    Jordan
